Our Morning GOP was well attended. We had 18 people. Kourtney O’Hara from Moms for Liberty spoke. She brought a message about the work they do in schools to build libraries and work with teachers and parents.
Marlene Spurgin gave information about Newberry Co Development Strategic Planning meetings. We should be involved. There are two more meetings left, both on 9/27. I would encourage someone attend the Chappells-Silverstreet session at 5:30 p.m. on 9/27 at the Silverstreet Community Center (1233 Main St., Silverstreet, SC 29145).
The next meeting will be on October 10. The speaker will be SCGOP 1st Vice Chair Cindy Risher

Our Newberry County Republican meeting was held on Sept 15. There were 54 people present. Several were present for the first time. We are growing. Marlene again gave a detailed presentation about the Newberry Co. Development Strategic Planning meetings.
Next meeting is October 20 the speaker will be Comptroller Richard Eckstrom
As we planned the “Highways and Hedges” campaign was a true labor of love. The committee met on September 6, 7, 8 from 9-1. As you can see from the piles of letters on the table, we sent out 2863 letters to people who voted in the Republican Primary in June. Each letter was addressed to the precinct and person invited. Janice Likes had everything well organized and (for the most part) everything ran smoothly.

We are so proud to announce that Hugh Gray is running for School district 5. We must get behind Hugh and promote him every chance we get.

Striving for Security
Democrats’ failed energy policies have highlighted just how much our national security depends upon successful energy policy. My new legislation provides the framework for states to address the challenges to undertaking energy and infrastructure projects across America.
I joined Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and 44 of our Senate colleagues to introduce the Simplify Timelines and Assure Regulatory Transparency Act. Our bill would implement comprehensive federal regulatory permitting and project review reform.
Protecting Your Tax Dollars
President Biden promised not to increase taxes on middle-class and low-income Americans, yet Democrats in Congress have enacted a plan to supersize the IRS. This IRS enlargement breaks President Biden’s promise; the truth is that majority of taxes gained from IRS audits come from individuals making less than $200,000 a year. The American people are tired of misleading messages from this administration.
I joined Republicans on the Senate Finance Committee, led by Senator Mike Crapo (R-Idaho), in introducing legislation to protect Americans making less than $400,000 per year from footing the bill for this supersized IRS scheme.
Spilling the #SCSweetTea and Reaching New Heights! This week, I am spilling the #SCSweetTea on a South Carolina native reaching new heights. From our first mission to the moon, strong and talented women have been instrumental in crucial NASA missions.
Charlie Blackwell-Thompson is no exception! As Artemis I heads to the moon, Blackwell-Thompson will be the flight director responsible for ensuring the rocket is ready for blastoff. It’s fantastic to see a South Carolina native leading the latest endeavor into the final frontier.

I am sorry to admit that I messed up. I thought I had sent in the information about the Octoberfest. I did not. I found it on my desk under a lot of stuff. I called and the nice lady told me that there was so much interest in booths that there was none available. I hate that I made this goof-up . I will do better in the future.

Four Reasons Why China is Becoming the Dominant World Power
1. They have a very low tolerance for crime. The death sentence is swiftly and routinely used for terrorists, murderers and drug traffickers.
2. Very low tolerance for Religion. They do not believe there is a Magic man in the sky. No such thing as a God. Almost no religious killings and getting rid of the Indigenous Chinese Muslim population as fast as they can.
3. They have not been involved in any expensive wars or invaded any country for the last seventy years.
4. Their primary weapon of choice to conquer the world is Finance, and countries around the world are falling fast.
Not just the USA but all world is in trouble.
In the near future, China will employ millions of American workers and dominate thousands of small communities all over the US. Chinese acquisition of US businesses set a new all-time record last year. It is on pace to shatter that record this year.
The Smithfield Foods acquisition is a great example. Smithfield Foods is the largest pork producer and processor in the world. It has facilities in 26 US states, and it employs tens of thousands of Americans. It directly owns 460 farms and has contracts with about 2,100 others. But now a Chinese company has bought it for $ 4.7 billion, and that means that the Chinese will now be the most important employer in dozens of rural communities all over America. Thanks in part to our massively bloated trade deficit with China, the Chinese have trillions of dollars to spend. They are only just starting to exercise their economic muscle.
It is important to keep in mind that there is often not much of a difference between "the Chinese government" and "the Chinese corporations". In 2011, 43 percent of all profits in China were produced by companies where the Chinese government had a controlling interest.
Last year a Chinese company spent $2.6B to purchase AMC entertainment, one of the largest movie theater chains in the United States. Chinese companies control more movie ticket sales than anyone else in the world.
But China is not just relying on acquisitions to expand its economic power.
"Economic beachheads" are being established all over America. For example, Golden Dragon Precise Copper Tube Group, Inc. recently broke ground on a $100M plant in Thomasville, Alabama. Many of the residents of Thomas-ville, Alabama will be glad to have jobs, but it will also become yet another community that will now be heavily dependent on Communist China.
And guess where else Chinese companies are putting down roots? DETROIT! Chinese-owned companies are investing in American businesses and new vehicle technology, selling everything from seat belts to shock absorbers in retail stores, and hiring experienced engineers and designers in an effort to soak up the talent and expertise of domestic automakers and their suppliers. If you recently purchased an "American-made" vehicle, there is a really good chance that it has a number of Chinese parts in it. Industry analysts are hard-pressed to put a number on the Chinese suppliers in the United States.
China is very interested in acquiring energy resources in the United States. For example, China is actually mining for coal in the mountains of Tennessee!
Guizhou Gouchuang Energy Holdings Group spent 616 million dollars to acquire Triple H Coal Co. in Jacksboro, Tennessee. At the time, that acquisition really didn't make much news, but now a group of conservatives in Tennessee is trying to stop the Chinese from blowing up their mountains and taking their coal.
And pretty soon China may want to build entire cities in the United States just like they have been doing in other countries. Right now, China is actually building a city larger than Manhattan just outside Minsk, the capital of Belarus.
Are you starting to get the picture yet? China is on the rise and has been for a long time while America plays political games.
If you doubt this, just read the following:
When you total up all imports and exports, China is now the number one trading nation on the entire planet.
# Overall, the US has run a trade deficit with China over the past decade that comes to more than 23 trillion dollars.
# China has more foreign currency reserves than anyone else on the planet.
# China now has the largest new car market in the entire world.
# China now produces more than twice as many automobiles as does the United States.
# After being bailed out by US taxpayers, GM is involved in 11 joint ventures with Chinese companies.
# China is the number one gold producer in the world.
# The uniforms for the US Olympic team were made in China.
# 85% of all artificial Christmas trees the world over are made in China.
# The new World Trade Center tower in New York includes glass imported from China.
# China now consumes more energy than does the United States.
# China is now in aggregate the leading manufacturer of goods in the entire world.
# China uses more cement than the rest of the world combined.
# China is now the number one producer of wind and solar power on the entire globe.
# China produces 3 times as much coal and 11 times as much steel as the United States does.
# China produces more than 90 percent of the global supply of rare earth elements.
# China is now the number one supplier of components that are critical to the operation of any national defense system.
# In published scientific research articles, China will become number one in the world very shortly. And what we have seen so far may just be the tip of the iceberg.
For now, I will just leave you with one piece of advice - --Learn to speak Chinese!!

Prices Continue to Soar:
· Americans cannot afford Biden and Democrats' failed economy.
o With the economy in recession and rising prices crushing wages, Biden’ s relentless attack on working-class Americans is showing no signs of slowing down.
· August's Producer Price Index rose by 8.7% since last year.
o This marks the 17th straight month that wholesale inflation has been above 5% year-over-year.
· August's Consumer Price Index soared by 8.3% compared to last year, meaning inflation remains at a near 40-year high.
o Fuel oil is up 68.8%
o Eggs are up 39.8%;
o Airline fares are up 33.4%;
o Gas is up 25.6%;
o Milk is up 17%;
o Groceries are up 13.5%;
§ This is the largest increase in grocery prices in 43 years.
o Baby food is up 12.6%;
o Meat, poultry, and fish are up 8.8%.
· Inflation is wiping out wage gains.
o Real wages have fallen every month since Biden and Democrats passed their wasteful $1.9 trillion “stimulus.”
o Real average hourly earnings fell 2.8% over the last year, marking the 17th month in a row under Biden in which inflation has outpaced wages.
· Bidenflation will cost American families more than $8,500 over the next year even if prices stop increasing altogether.
· Democrats' reckless spending put us in this mess, and the American people need to vote them out.
Motivation:
· We need folks across the state to get more motivated and engaged
· Many people think a Red Wave is coming regardless, and that we don’t have to do anything
o That is wrong! Democrats are highly motivated and are actually making progress
· Democrat fundraising is increasing each month, and Republican fundraising is decreasing
· We really, really need y’all to help excite your members and get them motivated!
· A Red Tsunami will happen if we have all hands on deck and put in the work
· We can’t afford to stay home. No one. Turn out is already lower in midterms, and we need every vote and every volunteer we can get
