Our August Morning Meeting had the Mayor Billy Hollingsworth of Whitmire who told the history of the town and the look to the future. Whitmire has their own water and sewer plant which generates revenue for the town. Upgrading these plants, need to sell more water and sewer Whitmire lost their only grocery store this year. Family Dollar and Dollar Tree combo has opened in part of the building. Working hard to find a grocery store to come into Whitmire. Joe's Market owned by Mike Dillard has increased product and inventory to accommodate residents. Whitmire is a good community and residents pull together. Ricky Williams has opened fresh produce stand in Whitmire. Sea Pro Boats industry is improving community since they opened. Whitmire owns a 9-hole golf course, the council is considering finding an industry to develop this property. Working on a Phase 1 study on golf course to see if suitable for development. They are looking for a high-volume employment industry. They have a good recreation program with city gym for basketball, outdoor basketball court, tennis courts and plans to add a football field and youth soccer. The town is also trying to get parts of town cleaner.

On August 18 we had 80 people attend for Governor Henry McMaster. We met at Prosperity Towne Center to accommodate the crowd. The Governor spoke about what has happened in South Carolina and what to expect for the future. He was met with standing ovation.
Our next meeting will be September 20 back at the Depot. Our speaker will be Moms for Liberty. This should be a good meeting.

On August 22 10 members from Newberry traveled to Anderson for Cong. Jeff Duncan’s Faith and Freedom BBQ.
Since Newberry is now in Cong. Duncan’s district we were given a reserved table. Great fun for everyone.

Biden's Handout To The Rich: Canceling Their Student Debt
Last week, Biden announced his plan to cancel $10,000 of student debt per borrower, a handout to the rich that would cost taxpayers billions and worsen inflation.
According to the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, Biden’s plan to cancel $10,000 in student debt per person would cost American taxpayers an additional $230 billion.
Meanwhile, the Penn Wharton Budget Model estimates the costs of Biden's student loan bailout could exceed $1 trillion.
Biden’s plan to cancel student loans would bailout the wealthy, worsen inflation, and line the pockets of Democrats and their staffs, all at the expense of the working class.
For many low-income borrowers, $10,000 debt cancelation would have "zero impact on their monthly student loan payments ."
Biden’s plan to cancel student debt would immediately increase inflation and "create additional inflationary pressure over time ” which is something Americans cannot afford at a time with already historically high inflation.
Over 200 Biden aides and far-left Democrats in Congress who support student debt cancellation, including Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Jamaal Bowman, Rashida Tlaib, and Ilhan Omar , have student loan debt, meaning they stand to directly benefit from Biden’s action.
Canceling student loans would penalize those who responsibly budgeted to pay off their loans.
Biden’s plan is a "one-time mechanism " which does not address the root problem of the high cost of education.
Democrats, like Elizabeth Warren don't care that they are robbing working class families to bail out the rich.
Messaging: Red States Generate More Jobs, Lower Unemployment
Newly released data from the Labor Department confirms that Republican governors and legislatures are leading the way in getting America back to work.
Through July, 9 of the top 10 states for jobs recovered since the coronavirus pandemic began are led by Republican governors, and all 10 states have Republican-controlled legislatures.

15 of the 18 states that have more jobs than when the pandemic hit are Republican-led: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah.
Republican-led states on average have recovered over 106% of their lost jobs compared to just over 92% for Democrat-run states.
Out of the top 22 states with the lowest unemployment rates, 17 are led by Republican governors and 17 have Republican-controlled legislatures.
8 of the 10 states with the lowest unemployment rates are led by Republicans.
The average unemployment rate for the nation’s 28 states with Republican governors is just 3.0%
Democrat-led states have an average unemployment rate more than half a percentage point higher – 3.6%.
69% of the states with unemployment rates lower than when the pandemic began are led by Republican governors, and 78% have Republican-controlled legislatures.
Out of the 14 states that have hit new record low unemployment rates, 8 have Republican governors and 9 have Republican-controlled legislatures.
Biden's Border Crisis: 200,000 Illegal Crossings in July
New July border numbers show 199,976 illegal immigrants were apprehended attempting to cross the U.S.-Mexico border.
That is a 325% increase from the average number of July apprehensions during the Trump administration.
13,299 unaccompanied children were apprehended.
96,002 illegal immigrants were apprehended from countries outside the Northern Triangle and Mexico, showing that Biden’s crisis is global.
66 migrants on the terror watchlist have been apprehended trying to enter the U.S. between ports of entry since the fiscal year began in October.
Illicit drugs are flowing into the country at an alarming rate.
Drug overdoses reached an all-time high in 2021 due in part to Biden’s open border.
2,071 pounds of deadly fentanyl – the equivalent of more than 469 millionlethal doses – were seized at the southern border in July alone, with much more likely getting through.
More fentanyl has crossed the border in the last two months under Biden than in all of FY 2019 under President Trump’s leadership.
At least 609 illegal migrants have died this fiscal year attempting to cross the border, making this fiscal year the deadliest in the history of the southwest border with three months left.
This is more than double the number of deaths in 2019 and 2020 and more than the total for all of 2021.
Biden’s disastrous policies created the crisis at the southern border.
In Biden’s first 100 days he took more than 94 executive actions on immigration, including halting construction of the border wall and endingt he Trump administration’s successful “Remain in Mexico” policy.

Ranchers in Texas are now arresting illegal immigrants on their own property because Border Patrol is so overwhelmed.
Americans are witnessing crisis at the border month after month thanks to Biden’s reckless open border policies.

On September 6, 7, 8 we have a committee who will be addressing over 2000 envelopes to people who voted in the June Primary in Newberry County. Each letter is specific to their precinct. We have people who will be leading the Precinct meetings. This campaign is called “Highway and Hedges” taken from Luke 14:23. This is our “hunt ducks where the duck are” take from Luke. We must meet people where they are.

Interns Wanted
The South Carolina Republican Party’s Victory 2022 program is interviewing intern candidates for the summer semester and fall semester in our Midlands offices, as well as the opportunity to intern remotely.
Interns will experience the fast-paced nature of politics while gaining hands-on work experience that will be useful in any professional setting. It’s a great way to build professional relationships and networking skills.
Intern responsibilities may include:
Completing daily administrative duties
Helping staff with fundraising and political events
Organizing and compiling campaign data
Assisting with and coordinating volunteer tasks
Ideal candidates are motivated, energetic problem-solvers who work well in fast-paced environments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must. The internship is unpaid and requires a minimum of 10 and no more than 20 hours per week, which is flexible around the candidate’s schedule and other commitment All majors are welcome to apply, and class credit may be available depending on your major and school requirements.
